Assia / Punge is a locative media artist and professional program manager based in The Netherlands. Her main focus is conceptual locative art. She creates mixed media works, with salt, magnets, painting tools, sound recording equipment, acrylic surfaces, photo/video camera. Starting from the characteristics of places and the social aspects of how they are used, using low-tech local materials and craftship.
Assia has been working with several artists and in two artist-in-residency positions with both Dinacon (2026) and National Geographic Explorers ( 2019). She likes to collaborate and does submissions occasionally.
